1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account data. Email address, name, and OAuth identifiers (via Clerk) when you sign up. We do not collect or store passwords directly.
- Billing data. Subscription status, plan, and tax ID where applicable. Card numbers are processed by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Usage data. The article URLs you submit, generated reel metadata, and credit-transaction history.
- Technical data. Request IP for abuse and rate-limit enforcement; basic server logs for debugging.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service — process article URLs into reels and deliver them to your library.
- To bill your subscription and provide receipts.
- To enforce abuse limits (per-IP and per-account rate limits).
- To diagnose and fix bugs.
- To send transactional emails (billing receipts, password resets via Clerk). We do not send marketing email.
3. Third parties we share with
We share the minimum data needed with the providers that make the Service work:
- Clerk — authentication (email, OAuth, session management).
- Stripe — billing (email, subscription metadata, card data processed by Stripe directly).
- OpenAI / Anthropic — AI models for script, voice, captions, and visuals. We send the article text and generated scene prompts; we do not send your account email.
- AWS — Lambda rendering and S3 storage for final mp4 files.
- Vercel — hosting, edge logs, deployment infrastructure.
- Upstash — Redis cache for spend counters and rate limits.
- Neon — Postgres database for accounts, subscriptions, and reel metadata.
We do not sell your data. We do not share data with advertisers.
4. Retention
- Generated mp4 files are stored on AWS S3 and deleted automatically by lifecycle policy after the retention period for your plan (7 days Free, 30 days Pro, 90 days Premium/Studio).
- Generation intermediates (per-scene mp3s and images on Vercel Blob) are deleted by a daily cleanup job, no later than 24 hours after generation.
- Account and billing records are retained for as long as you have an account, plus the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.
5. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. Note that some records (billing, tax) we are required to retain by law and cannot delete on request.
Deleting your account through Clerk will remove your profile and your library entries from our database. Generated mp4 files will be deleted automatically per the lifecycle policy.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session) and for our billing provider (Stripe). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
7. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States and any country where our service providers operate.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email.
